A flirt pole is an enjoyable way to keep your dog physically and mentally active. They are nice for high-energy dogs because one session can really get your dog very tired.

A flirt pole (also known as a flirt stick) is a long pole with a rope attached to the end. At the end of that rope is a lure that is used to entice your dog to chase. It gives a great exercise, and they are also mentally saturating. They are the real way to let your pet use their normal prey get in a non-destructive method.

2. PLAY TUG OF WAR WITH YOUR DOG

The tug is my favorite game. My dog enjoys it because it is fun and engaging, especially when jumping with her camouflage jacket and great physical exercise. This is a good way for dogs to practice their manners if you spent lots of time training with your dog. I have found a tug plaything to be one of the most motivating rewards around.

Remember, when you play tug with your dog, do not forget to follow the basic rule — the game stops if your dog’s teeth touch any part of your skin. Some dogs may struggle with this more than others since tug gets some dogs (puppies) fairly riled up. If you quit when their mouth touches your hand, they’ll catch on that ‘the fun game stops when I mouth my person.’

3. PLAY FRISBEE TOGETHER WITH YOUR DOG

Another fun video game to play together with your dog is normally frisbee. Frisbee is normally a game I refer to as a sophisticated fetch game since it promotes your pet to chase over lengthy distances. A casino game of frisbee is excellent exercise, and it’s lots of fun for dogs that have an all-natural drive to chase.

If your pet doesn’t learn how to catch a frisbee, begin by utilizing a soft disc. Traditional plastic Frisbees are hard very, so if necessary, hit your pet in the true face, they can discourage them from trying to catch it. Practice by getting the dog worked up about the frisbee tossing it brief distances or rolling it on the floor.

4. CREATE YOUR PERSONAL AGILITY COURSE

Another fun video game for dogs is definitely creating your personal agility program. It is a fun method to teach your pet some fresh tricks, and it’s an excellent way to obtain mental stimulation for dogs.

Using an agility program for your pet is a great way to give them some mental & physical exercise. I have found that having my dog run through the little mini-course is more tiring than a 2-mile walk.

5. USE KONG STUFFING & FOOD-DISPENSING TOYS

Using a stuffed Kong or some food dispensing toys is one of the easiest games to play with your pet. It is fun as well, and they are encouraged because it used a few of their organic scavenging ability, and it’s mentally stimulating. If you’re not really a fan of Kongs browse the West Paw Tux toy — it’s the best alternative.

6. TEACH YOUR DOG TO CHASE BUBBLES

One of the funniest games to play with your doggie is teaching them to chase bubbles. I experienced my doubts, but it’s one of Laika’s all-time favorite games.

In case your dog doesn’t know how to chase bubbles, engage them by blowing bubbles a couple at a time. Pointing it out to them, which motivates them to chase. Capture some yourself to demonstrate to the dog that there’s nothing at all to worry about and that the complete point of the overall game is to have them before they touch the surface.

7. PLAY SOME WATER GAMES TOGETHER WITH YOUR DOG

Going to the neighborhood beach could be a large amount of fun for dogs, especially those that already like swimming (don’t neglect a doggie existence jacket for security). You can bring along some puppy toys and play a game of fetch in the water. Always check if they float first — we’ve lost a few toys in the water much to Laika’s dismay.

8. PLAY FIND THE TREATS WITH YOUR DOG

It’s super easy to play, and the best part is my dog by no means gets sick of it. It does not matter if you pick the same hiding places and that both of you constantly play with chopped-up carrots — she enjoys it every single time. It doesn’t bother her at all with my lack of creativity.

9. MAKE USE OF A DIGGING BOX

Some canines love digging, and having a dedicated digging box for them is a method to motivate them to dig in a single approved area — one which doesn’t include your landscaped garden. You may make your very own digging box with some wood and sand from your own local hardware store.

10. PLAY A GAME OF HIDING & SEEK

Another fun game to play with your dog is definitely hiding and seek. Hide and seek lets your dog use a few of its organic scent tracking skills in a great and stimulating way.

To play hide and seek to have your dog stay while you look for a hiding spot. Then call your dog and praise them when they find you.
